New to Kick a Lucky Block? This guide covers how to stack power fast, dodge the tsunami, and upgrade your Brain Roots without wasting coins on the wrong gear first.

Step 1: Basic Controls & Core Logic

The core loop is simple: Train → Kick the block → AFK at base → Upgrade gear → Repeat.

  • Kick Power Training: Tap your screen to train. Watch for yellow/green circles that pop up during training—clicking them gives a 5× to 10× power bonus.
  • Launching the Block: Once you're feeling strong, head to the launch pad. Wait for the power bar to hit the very top (Perfect) before clicking to send that block flying as far as possible!
  • The Tsunami Escape: As soon as the block lands, a wave follows. Turn around and sprint back to the start immediately. If the wave catches you, you lose that kick's reward.

Step 2: Build Income Early

Coins pay for training gear and speed upgrades, which both feed the same loop.

  • Claim Your "Newbie" Benefits:
    • Shop Freebies: Check the Shop regularly for free "Brain Roots" to get your economy started.
    • Social Rewards: Join the developer's group or Like the game. This often unlocks Legendary gear that speeds up your early income.
  • Base Management: Place your looted items at your base to generate passive income. Tip: Don't just hunt for new gear. Upgrading your existing items is often cheaper—high-level gear can pump out millions of coins per second!

Step 3: Where to Spend Your Points

When you visit the Weight Shop, what should you buy first? Here is the winning priority:

  • Speed > Weights: For beginners, invest in Speed first. You can't claim rewards if you can't outrun the Tsunami! Staying alive is your #1 priority.
  • Gear Upgrades: Upgrade from your basic stick to the Ice Barbell and eventually the Donut Barbell. The more expensive the gear, the fewer clicks you'll need to reach massive power.
  • Rebirth: Your first reset unlocks at 1,000 Kick Power and grants a permanent 2× cash multiplier — rebirth when you can rebuild quickly, not the second the button appears. See the Rebirth wiki for what resets and what stacks.

Mid-game systems (once you leave Rare/Epic)

  • Weather Machine: Sacrifice spare Brainrots for 10-minute weather events and special Lucky Block types — Update 3 guide.
  • Volcano cycles: Every 2 hours, farm Volcanic Orbs during the short eruption — Update 5 guide.
  • Trading (Update 4): Trade duplicates instead of solo-grinding Eternal pieces — Eternal guide.
  • Kick Styles (Update 6): Unlock kick animations for +1.25× kick speed via Mastery (Stomp 125, Mule 500, Retro 1,250). Volcanic Kick from Rocky's Store (Update 5) is a separate 1.25× purchase for 7,500 lava rocks. Farm Mastery by kicking — Update 6 guide.
  • Saturday events: Watch the Events page for UPDATE banners and Admin Abuse windows.

Quick tips

  • Watch the Zones: Keep an eye on the color-coded bar at the top of your screen. It shows zones ranging from "Common" to "Mythic" and "Godly." The further you kick, the better the loot!
  • Server Luck: If you have some extra Robux, Server Luck raises everyone's odds of landing high-quality gear.
  • Master the QTE: In the late game, power requirements get insane. Getting used to hitting those circles now will save you hours of grinding later.

Summary: Grab those freebies, pump your Speed to stay alive, grind that power, and hit your first Rebirth ASAP! See you in the Godly zone!
