Update 4 speed-run overview
Update 4 rewrites late-game cash formulas. If you are optimizing AFK setups or hunting the best new plants, the sections below cover Floor 4 soil upgrades, outer-ring placement, sprays, and the composter loop.
I. Independent floor upgrades
Plot upgrades are no longer map-wide. With Floors 3 and 4 unlocked, each floor has its own upgrade panel.
- Spend cash on Soil Quality for the floor you actually plant on.
- Do not dump your entire wallet maxing Floor 1 if your main farm moved to Floor 4.
II. 17-ring limit and outer-ring meta
Farms can expand to 17 rings. The cash formula flip is the headline change:
- New meta: outer rings now carry a higher gold multiplier than the inner core.
- Layout shift: move highest-yield crops (Aurora Lotus, Garden Golem, late Durian lines) to the outside edge, not the center.
III. New mutation sprays (Floor 4 shop)
The Floor 4 advanced shop added sprays that multiply base crop value. Full prices live on the mutations page.
- Autumn Spray: applies Autumn (2.25×): strong mid-tier shop buff.
- Bubblegum Spray: 9× multiplier, the Floor 4 leaderboard spray; Rainbow (5×) is outdated for pure value pushes.
- Frozen and Void Sprays: permanent shelf picks for contract clears and steady prefix farming.

V. Floor 4 composter machine
Unlock Floor 4 and find the large composter in the corner. Its UI ties directly to crop inventory:
- Cost per pull: exactly 2 Ghost Peppers per prize lever.
- Why run it: primary source of high-grade fertilizer to push Transcended grow speeds, keep dedicated Ghost Pepper plots on Floor 4.
VI. Fast progression tips
- Pets and contracts first: equip pets, clear contract lines, and use low-tier orders for starter cash instead of idle Floor 1 farming.
- Rush Floor 4: move your main base up as soon as it unlocks, buy Durian seeds, start composter loops, and upgrade that floor's soil only.
- Skip low-tier mutation gambling: save for Bubblegum sprays, plant on the 17th outer ring, and pair with time-skip codes while crops grow.
