Experience Abstraction Beginner Guide
Join the right experience, stabilize in a bright area, then decide whether this run is for survival or abstraction.

First join only: confirm you are in the real Experience Abstraction lobby, pick whether this run is for staying normal or abstracting on purpose, then work through the five steps below. Codes are optional — none are required to learn the map.
Common first-session mistakes
- Running abstraction triggers in a bright crowd before you know how fast Sanity falls.
- Switching between resist and abstract goals mid-session without regrouping on the central floor.
- Attempting the documented Caine chat route solo on day one — that path needs a second player.
First session
- Join the correct experience. Confirm you are in Experience Abstraction by Pawlo's Studio (pawlooz), not a similarly named clone.
- Stabilize in a bright social area. Use the open ground-floor / central bright space as your first regroup point. Stay with normal players while you learn the layout.
- Decide your goal for this session. Stay normal, abstract on purpose, or later attempt Caine with a partner. Do not mix goals until you understand the Sanity risks.
- If you stay normal. To stay normal, flip the three risks: stick with normal players, stay in bright spaces, and keep distance from anyone already abstracted.
- If you abstract on purpose. Open How to Abstract and pick one condition. The private-room route is the quietest solo option for most players.
Next steps
After the first session, open How to Abstract for triggers, then wiki topics for lasting event and map systems.
