Animal Index on the HUD, species income table, named eggs, Gold and Purple Aurora mutations, plus Mythic and secret tracks.

Hatched animals fill your Pen, earn cash (including offline), and unlock Animal Index rewards (XP plus cash when you claim a new discovery). Rare sizes, Mythic eggs, Fossiled eggs, and secret animals sit beside the area Index ladder. This page also covers Gold and Purple Aurora mutations.
Eggs come from steal runs. Zone order sits on areas.
Animal Index
The Animal Index is on the right-side HUD next to Shop. Each area lists a set of animals; claim rewards after new hatches. Prefer grey silhouettes in your Index over an out-of-date name list. Index claims sit next to liking the game and joining the AnimalByte group.
A steal only counts after you place the egg on a free plot slot (Your Base). Holding it is not enough. Placed eggs enter Growing Eggs, run a hatch timer, then show income and Index progress. If the Index silhouette does not fill, check that you were not still holding the egg when the run ended.
Animals by area
Tables follow the Animal Index by area (Meadow through Savannah). Income and Index rewards are snapshots and can shift with mutations, boosts, or patches. Blank income means the Pen rate was not confirmed yet. Celestial Heights still has at least one unlisted Celestial-tier silhouette in some Indexes.

Mythic, Fossiled, rare sizes
Mythic eggs, Fossiled eggs, secret animals, and rare sizes are not the same as Gold or Purple Aurora mutations. Do not mix shop egg pools into the Meadow-to-Savannah Index tables.
Optional Store passes (live catalog): 2× Cash at 299 Robux, 2× Carry at 399 Robux, and 2× Hatch Speed at 499 Robux. Read the name, price, and effect text before you buy. None of these replace Trails or barbell training.
Mutations
Gold multiplies at 4×. Purple Aurora multiplies at 2×. Ignore Diamond, Ruby, and Emerald ladders from other Roblox games.

Gold Mutation Machine
- Collect five identical base pets
- Go to the Mutation Machine in the Pen by the Coils shop
- Insert all five pets
- Wait for the machine timer
- Claim the Gold pet
During Cash Rush (2× cash), selling pets and clearing Pen income is stronger. Prefer sales in that window when you already planned to sell.

FAQ
What does the Animal Index pay?
Each new discovery can claim XP and cash. Amounts scale by area and rarity; the tables on this page list the common Index reward strings.
What is the best mutation?
Gold at 4× beats Purple Aurora at 2×. Aurora hatches can also roll Gold+Aurora together.
Is Purple Aurora only from events?
Purple Aurora eggs come from the Purple Aurora event and carry a purple aura. Timers are on the events page.
Can a hatch roll Gold and Aurora together?
Yes. Aurora event hatches can roll Gold+Aurora. It is a possible roll, not a guaranteed drop.
Are Mythical or Fossiled eggs the same as Index pets?
No. Those are shop or special pools. Index tables cover area animals from Meadow through Savannah.
Are rare sizes the same as mutations?
No. Rare sizes, Mythic eggs, Fossiled eggs, and secret animals are listed separately from Gold and Purple Aurora.
Should I wait for Cash Rush before selling?
If Cash Rush is live and you planned to sell anyway, yes. Do not wait forever for the next rotation if you need Pen space.

Do I need gamepasses?
No. 2× Cash (299), 2× Carry (399), and 2× Hatch Speed (499) are optional. Free progress is Trails, barbells, steals, and Index claims. Read prices in the Store.
